Combulex Buizen
We have been supplying excess batches and second choice steel pipes to primarily European factories for more than 40 years. These pipes are sorted and checked in Vianen and then sold as Combulex pipes. Approximately 45,000 tons per year.
Our stock in Vianen amounts to more than 14,000 tons. You can select from approximately 2500 different dimensions.
Impressive figures, but less relevant without the human capital.

The history of Combulex BV
Combulex BV was established in 1967. At that time, there were two companies in the Netherlands that produced welded steel pipes:
- Excelsior de Maas, which later became Verenigde Buizenfabrieken belonging to the Hoogovens Group, and Corus Tubes since 3 April 2000. Corus is a subsidiary of Tata Steel.
- Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group.
Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group transferred all of its production to (what was then still) Hoogovens Buizen at the end of 1995.
Combulex is an abbreviation of Combinatie Buizen Van Leeuwen/Excelsior.
Combulex is a 50/50 joint-venture of Corus Tubes and Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group, which was established in order to sort all new pipes from the factories that have not been produced in accordance with the standards and to sell them for purposes including construction.
We currently have warehouse space of 10,000 m2, and the exterior section of our site covers approximately 21,000 m2.
